Editorial Policy
Our aim is to help readers choose technology for a specific purpose, with a clear view of the tradeoffs.
What our guides represent
The journal publishes selection advice based on practical criteria and research. Unless an article explicitly describes a documented test, it should not be read as a hands-on review. We do not use invented ratings, benchmarks, customer counts, credentials, or first-person testing claims.
How to use a buying guide
Start with the task and the devices you own. Use our criteria to shortlist options, then verify the exact model's manual, compatibility list and current retailer terms. Product families can contain models with very different capabilities. Photos are editorial illustrations, not evidence of a test or endorsement.
Commercial relationships
Any paid placement must be identified. Affiliate relationships, when active, must be disclosed near commercial links. Ordinary retailer searches may be included to help readers explore options; they are not tested product recommendations. Retailers control their prices, stock, fulfilment and returns.
Preparation and corrections
Articles may use AI-assisted drafting. We aim to edit for accuracy and usefulness, but publication is not a guarantee that every detail is correct or up to date. Send corrections with a source to joe.yyw1819@gmail.com. Material corrections should be reflected in the relevant guide.
What we avoid
We do not recommend buying simply because a newer version exists. We avoid unverified price promises and claims that a purchase will guarantee a health, safety, financial or professional outcome.
